Extraction

Extraction is a 5v5 round robin pvp game. I felt similar games had always neglected to reward teams who won convincingly. To try and reward these players I implemented a system so dependant on the players remaining at the end of a round, they would get proportionate points. However claiming the points were contingent on them having enough time to collect them as it took ~5 seconds, adding an element stress and time management.

Other poignant features I wanted to include were lot's of height variation, items and areas to contest over and areas of the map where you had to watch your movements, typically around important POI's.

Order Up

Order Up is a game loosely inspired by games like plate up, where with your team of 5 you'll have to gather, cook and deliver meals to customers. When concepting Order Up my aim was to keep the game as In-line with normal minecraft mechanics as possible, allowing as much overlap as possible between peoples existing minecraft skills and the knowledge base required to do well in Order Up, this familiarity allows players to anchor themselves more into the game and get a footing quickly, and focus more on the other less minecraft dependant skill sets. The main pillars I wanted Order Up to focus on was resource management, team communication and synergy. Doing well in Order Up requires a few things, not wasting time running if you forgot to get ingredients, managing team communications well, if someone's going to an area where you may need an ingredient from, they may be able to pick it up on the way.

Construction

With construction my aim was to take it away from the typical notion of building games being fairly boring and monotonous and make it much more intense and individual based while still having team elements, players would have to quickly replicate 5x5 block tiles in rapid succession, only being able to proceed once their entire team had replicated the tile correctly. This forced all players to be constantly active and performing for their team, as even if you were the strongest player on your team and always finished first, you could keep pushing your team forward by going over and helping your teammates complete their tiles by placing blocks or giving instructions where needed.
